Mama and I met Donna Peppers and her team from Braswell Baptist. Their kids VBS collected donations to buy school supplies for the Kensington Kids. Isn’t it sweet kids buying for other kids?
We had a great turn out, met lots of new moms, dads and kids.
I’m looking forward to the first day of school, August 9.
I worked on updating the registration book.

On the last day we took a tour around the CNN center. Can’t wait to get out in the field and start reporting!
Miles and I meet Mom and Dad at Vikyhat Indian. Delisious. Minus the little roach crawling on the seat beside Miles.

This issue’s is science creepy with a big brain on the front. I like it.
Saw a gigantic spider on Mile’s pillow.
Went and took pictures with Daddy today of the Goldrush team at Azalea.
Jessica cut my hair. Then we were headed to the pool when Tyler got stung twice on the leg by Yellow Jackets.
Painted.

Interviewed GPC’s Chief of Police. He advised me not to take his picture, “I’ve put a lot of people in jail. I don’t remember their faces but they don’t forget mine.”
The Public Safety departments wants a little spot in the paper where they can put safety information and the crime report.
Worked on laying out the newspaper. It’s going to print soon. I can’t wait to see in on paper.
Meet Mom, Dad, Ian, Bennett and Mel at Madina. Great goat today.
Took Mel around to the 8 Clarkston locations.I kind of felt like my daddy driving another missionary around and letting her in on the inside secretes of apartment ministry. I took pictures, pressed the flesh and let the managers know another team is coming in next week. It’s good for me to get to know all these managers in my area.

Happy Father’s day to all you dads out there. My Daddy and I went to eat Arby’s together this morning. We went over my bus round over Italian subs and potatoe cakes.
I unpacked my suitcase and cleaned my room up. It’s good to be back in my natural habitat.
Enjoyed folding clothes and listening to The Asylum Street Spankers.
Around 2 Dad, Ian and I meet the Dallas team of 150 high school students and leaders.
I took Bus 2 around to the 8 Avondale/ Memorial Drive apartment missions. I sat on the step so I could help Mr. Bob navigate the whale of a transportation system.
We’ve hit a few snags but nothing that God can’t take care of.
Pray that the gates won’t be a problem for the Greyhound buses and that the team will gain positive attention.
Hung out with Jessica and Shawn for a little while. Jessica and I were happy to see each other after I’d been gone 2 weeks.
This was kind of weird looking down from Jessivc’s balcony.
For dinner, Miles and I grabbed a few groceries and cooked Catalina Frito pie together.

I packed up my things this morning.
Tonight I’ll be home with my parents. They are already starting to miss having chicks in the nest.
Nana dropped me off at the airport. While we were waiting I got a call from Delta. My 4 o’clock flight was being delayed an hour and a half later
Inside waiting we shared some chocolate bread. Around 4 I got in line to go through security when I got another call from Delta.
My flight had changed back to 4:30. I only had 30 minutes to get through security and down to gate 6.
Just as I’d put my shoes back on the they started cannoning the last boarding call for my flight. I made it just in time.
Read No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency on the place.
Glad to be home with my family.

I got to speak to 5 groups of kids. They really seemed to like my speech.
I sure was tired afterwards, though.
After lunch, Nana and I went shopping in the Square. I got some cute dresses from the consignment shop. I love thrifting it’s like treasure hunting.
Then the best part was the stop at BlueBell’s icecream shop.

Ate sushi at Rusann’s. Delicious as always. Even loaded down with black and red fish eggs.

Been in the newsroom teaching people the InDesign program. It’s been good practice for me learning how to teach different people with different learning styles. I’m trying not to feel too loaded down with all my jobs. Please pray that I don’t get too stressed out with every responsibility.
I’ve been having a great time with the team. Mrs. Pam arrived from Alabama today. She’s great. She reminds me of my Nana. Mrs. Pam has a crazy story. She was born with her guts hanging out! She was supposed to die but God had other plans for her. And here she is telling the kids about Jesus.
Virginia told the story of Jesus’ birth. some of the kids have NEVER heard that story.
Virginia asked, “Who came to visit baby Jesus?”
A little black girl beside me said, “Three white men!”
Keep on prayin’ for the new believers.
Mama and I ate at Donnie’s then I went back to the office to work on the paper.

Day 2 with the team was even better.
We prayer walked in the morning around the Buddhist temple and the kid’s elementary school. There’s just something about praying really loud, walking down the street with a bunch of white girls.
Climbed the mountain with Hannah then ate Los Hermanos with Miles, Anna and Arielka. I like Hannah’s new Kia.
Meet back up with the team and headed for KS and OF. We did bubbles, the story about Noah, which a lot of kids haven’t EVER heard, played Red Rover and made balloon animals. Chalk is always my favorite.
Mo was hot. So the kids decided to cool her down with ice cold water.

Did a lot of praying today with the girls from North GA. We prayed that we’d have a great response at the mission this afternoon. Did we ever!
I meet the team of 4 high school girls and their leader Mrs. Donna Peppers at CIBC.
Told the girls a little of my background and we hit the road towards the missions. Prayer walking around Willow Branch and Khristopher Woods was like being in Vietnam and Africa at the same time. Clothes hung out to dry on lines tied to the balcony, little boys getting bathed out on the back porch, and foot trails leading to the grocery store.
Passing the dirty clothes, Mrs. Donna prayed that the peoples’ sins would be washed away. We all nodded in agreement.
Navigated the ladies around Clarkston. Headed back to CIBC to pick up my car. Went to pick up cleaning supplies and ate Red Lobster with Miles, Roxy and Isabella.
Bible clubs time with the team at 3-7. We served by the pool at Kensington Station. Can’t fight the pool…
The girls sang, He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands. We kept it going with, He’s got the Kensington Kids… In His hands…
I know the kids loved the puppets.
Natasha told the creation story to the kids.
Their magic tricks astounded the kids. The older girls tried to figure it out.
Colored and loved on the kids.
Snacks. Yumbo.
Great turn out at Oak forest from 5-7. The modleing clay is my favorite part. Mama started a swing set volley ball game. The kids tried to served the ball over the 7 foot playground.
The kids tried to see who could jump rope the most. One little girl got to 101!
