First day Back!

Hey there! This morning I walked over to CIBC to visit Mo and her new class of three year olds.

 

Sure are some cuties!

Wrote thank you letters.

Dad and Jesse came over and we all went for lunch then back to my house to work on the Youth Leader flyer and the donations report.

Went to the mission to help the kids with their homework. I know! They already have homework their first day back.

Mo was given some new clothes from Bangladesh.

I liked this fish’s expression.

Backpacks and Errands

Yesterday we took backpacks to some girls at Kensington and Azalea.

Today I ran errands and organized. A LOT! I cleaned out my closet.

Donated some clothes.

Sewed a strap on my blue dress.

Went to Lowe’s to by an adapter for my sink,it’s for my new LED toy. When the waters cold it’s blue.

And red when hot!

So fun and only for $10.

Mailed a letter to my friend.

 

I also redecorated the bathroom with some pictures from our trip to Costa Rica.

And organized my laundry room with some new bins from the dollar store.

Worked on printing out my third generation missionary letter to send to other missionaries.

Also worked on the rough draft of the Whirlwind Missions flyer to give to Youth group leaders.

Activated my updated credit card.

Saw my dream car drive by.

Friendship Bracelets

Anna and I made friendship bracelets today. Fun!

Then home to check on the pot roast with peas and carrots. SO easy!

Evelyn Accepts Christ

Hello there you AWESOME person!
Dad and I had fun briefing the team.

Then took them to CD Tower and the Chinese Pharmacy.

We visited them on site at their first locations.

These kids were cute pushing each other.

Then visited the Buddhist temple and some other local shops in the area. We’re always trying to find new cool things to show the teams.

Dad may have his own app, but I have my own doll.

The teams are doing great!

After they left, Dad and I meet with Westside BC at Highland Knoll for the Basketball camp.

There I meet and lead Evelyn to Christ. What an amazing time I had with the sweet little girl.

 

Home now to print out the team picture and work on some administration duties.

CD Tower and Quesadillas

Dad taught the team about Buddhism today.

He showed off the different spirit papers that some Chinese people burn to their ancestors.

Then we went to see the actually things at CD tower.

 

Then onto Carneceria numero uno for quesadillas.

Missions were fun today even though it rained a little.

 

 

Dad and I liked this…

Gringo is slang for white person.

Dad’s Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY! We LOVE you SO much.

The team was sweet and sang to him and signed a big card.

 

We briefed them about Catholicism and then went to Plaza Fiesta!

Today was the last day for our Meadow Grove and Emmanuel teams. :( Looking forward to them coming back next summer!

Madina and Global Mall

Briefed the team about Islam and Hinduism.

Then went to the Madina and Global mall.

The teams seemed to really like the samosas.

We learned a lot about Hinduism from the pooja the priest performed.

Dad’s always good about explaining what’s going on.

After lunch we meet with the new team, Meadow Creek BC, from Mississippi, and got them on site.

CD Tower and Quesadillas

Day two of missions.

Started with the briefings…

 

Then lead the team over to CD Tower to check out the Chinese and Buddhist things.

 

Hee Pie just makes me laugh.

Then over to the Chinese Pharmacy to learn about Eastern medicine.

 

Back massages are universal.

Quesadillas for lunch! The team has been looking forward to eating those for a whole YEAR!

They even tried grilled jalepanoes.

 

Don’t know if I want to put this in my hair.

 

On to missions.

Pastor Ben Lehman drove around with us to scout out the best spots to do the basketball camp next week.

Rode bikes with Miles, now he’s in the kitchen cooking up some pork chops and sauteed peaches.

Two days till Dad’s birthday!

Monday, Monday with the Emmaneul and Mountain Park Teams

Well hidie! Had fun with Dad tag teaming the briefing this morning.

 

He’s so much fun to listen to.

The teams are great. We went to the Farmer’s Market today.

 

Then the Emmanuel team took us out for lunch at Penang.

On to missions. This week we have teams serving at 16 different apartment complexes!

Went for a run with Milo. It was surprisingly cool this evening.

Now home to work on admin work.

Bonair to Plaza Fiesta

Printed out some pictures for the teams today!

Dad did the briefing then we went over to Plaza Fiesta!

Dad and I liked these skeleton dogs.

 

I think I need a keychain with Jesus.

 

The teams doing an amazing job at the missions. Each team has a cheer they do before they start the day. One team is called the Avengers. So each team member has their own super hero.Today at the mission a little boy named Kevin was there when they were doing their cheer. Each person said their super hero name and Kevin said, ” I’m God!” Hah..

Worked on team locations for next three weeks.

Team, Bowling and Big Tex!

Great time with the team today.

 

 

We went to Madina to learn about Islam and then Global Mall to sit in during a Hindu Pooja.

Great work at the missions. (As always.) Saw some new kids.

Wrote Thank you notes and a birthday note to Tyler, he’s turning five.

Clemets Baptist Church! Buford Highway Farmer’s Market!

Woohoo! Just like my Dad I always love the new week when I get to meet the new team. Dad did half the briefing….

 

And I followed up with part dos of the briefing about how to round up the kids. That made it a lot more fun for me because just like my Dad, we live to hear ourselves speak.

 

Then we took the team to Buford Highway Farmer’s Market.

I enjoyed meeting Svitlana from Russia, who works in the Bakery. She always gives us tasty treats. Today we had Baklava, a spinach pastry and some puffy cookies from Moscow.

Logistics planning.

Then on to missions. The team served at 10 different apartment complexes.

Looking forward to CD Tower tomorrow.

Urban Plunge Day 1

Dad did a briefing about the Buford Highway Farmer’s Market with all 150 plus  students.

They had a great time exploring all the different items from around the world.

 

Dad and I even tried some new things like Russian Ham and Ho Tuk, a Korean like pancake.

Then it was on to the missions. Dad helped the big bus get around while I checked on the New Peachtree team.

Then we meet back up and visited the other sites.

Meeting with the Urban Plunge Leadership

This morning we met with the Urban Plunge leadership.

We decided where the big bus should go along with the other 11 vans.

Then we actually drove the team members over to the complexes.

Got home and worked on sending Temple BC their team picture.

Also wrote thank you notes to my friends and supporters.

 

I liked this moth that got trapped in our candle last night.

We ate dinner with the Kendalls at Ted’s. Yumbo!

I liked our shadows as we walked.

Does this strawberry shortcake dessert look good or what?

Father’s Day!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! I love you, Daddy! You’re the best. You’ve taught me how to appreciate and love people.

Mom and Dad came over to the Cottage and we all walked over to church together.

Then Milo, Roxy, Justin and I took Milo’s Dad to the Braves game.

Everyone got together for a Father’s Day feast at the Kendall’s.

Temple BC Last Day

Dad gave a great briefing to the Moultrie, GA.

 

I’ve been taking notes so I can do these tour briefings as well.

We enjoyed learning about Islam at Al Madina and then Hinduism at Global Mall.

 

Lots of kids were saved today.

About to enjoy grilling out with Jesse, Miles and Kevin.

Temple BC Day Dos!

Dad did another wonderful briefing as always.

We went to CD Tower to learn about Buddhism and Hinduism and then over to Plaza Fiesta to learn about Catholicism.

The team is doing a great job at their locations. One little girl came up to me today and asked, “Are you Shakira.” Hah!

I made some little friends at Chamblee Heights. They didn’t speak any English but everyone understands friendship.

Temple Baptist Church

Dad gave a great briefing today to the Temple Baptist Church Team.

 

We visited the Buford Highway Farmer’s Market. Always some weird stuff there.

 

Then Missions!!! One of our leaders that I was with had a long talk with a smart boy about Jesus. I know that will lead to something good.

Thank you Notes!

Wrote thank you notes to friends and family who came to the wedding.

This is one of my favorite gifts Miles and I got.

Climbed Stone Mountain, then came home and cleaned the cottage.

Put a roast in the pot for dinner tomorrow.

Wedding Celebrations

What a wonderful weekend I had with all my closest friends.

 

Jessica and her Grandma helped make the flower bouquets.

The celebrations were fun and the wedding was beautiful.

 

Had fun today with Dad and J. We went up to NAMB and picked up binders and folders. Thank you! Then called managers to set up for the team that’s coming in Thursday.

Jesse’s Back! FBC Powell Team!

Had a great time with my little brother yesterday. We ate Crazy Ron’s with Dad, then climbed the mountain and went swimming. Afterwards we went to Yogli Mogli’s for yogurt. Jesse choose it just because of the name which is AWESOME!

When Miles and I first meet he called me Mogli because I could climb a try and would always run around barefoot.

Had fun with the team from Tennessee. We toured the Farmer’s Market.

Then went over to Plaza Fiesta.

 

 

 

 

They’re doing a great job over off Roswell Road. They’re averaging aboout 40-60 per site!
