Farmer’s Market

Hello!

Fixed my bathroom light.

Took the team over to the Farmer’s Market. They seemed  to like it.

Meet up with Dad and we ran some errands. Went to Walmart to get lights for our presentation time.

Checked on the teams at the missions.

Then worked on organizing Dad’s closet and arranging the Fellowship Hall.

Before….

After…

Main part was organizing our briefing show and tell items.

Global Mall and Madina

Assalamu alaikum! Briefed the teams then went to Madina.

Explored the Hindu temple.

Lunch at Ashiana’s.

Then Dad and I figured out the logistics for the four teams coming next week. Some teams are coming Saturday through Monday, others get in on Monday while another comes in Tuesday. We called them and figured out exactly how many teams they were breaking into and all that good stuff. Glad we called, one team forgot to call and cancel.

Then over to see the peeps at the missions.

CD Tower, Chinese Pharmacy and Bakery

Ni hao! Dad and I did a show and tell about Buddhism today.

Then took the teams over to Asian Square. We did some language study then went to the Chinese Bakery.

CD Tower is always a big hit.

The pharmacy and lunch at Royal China were good! We saw this man bring live fish to the restaurant.

Then onto missions.

Dad and I started a new tradition. We created a landing spot for Jesus when He comes back. Then all the team members can sign the tarp, then come back and see it next year.

Moogs goes to the Vet

Woof! Hello friends!

Moogley and I went to the vet today. She had to get a health exam and an update on her vaccines. One of the great things about adopting from the Humane Society is that you get a $250 discount when you use one of their VCA clinics. Score!

I’ve enjoyed having her as a close companion. We went for an early morning run and then to the dog park. It’s a great big fenced in area where she can run off the lease. Perfect for people like us who don’t have a back yard.

Then we went to PetSmart to get her a collar and nameplate.

She even picked out her own rope toy. It was so cute to see her prance around the store with it.

She’s part of the family!

Both my babies, tuckered out after a long day.

Union Baptist Church and the new Dog!

Hello there! Dad called me this morning on his way over to my house to tell me his car had broken down.

I went and picked him up so we could drive to our gig at Union Baptist Church.

We had a fun time psyching the group up about coming on missions on Tuesday.

Then had lunch with Daryl and his wife, Beth.

Dropped Dad off once this tow truck got there.

Then Miles took me to the animal shelter. He’s had his eye on a sweet dog there. We both bonded with her immediately. I’m looking forward to having a new running partner and guard dog, Milo’s looking forward to having a hound ride in the Jeep with him.

Liked these tall sunflowers.

I liked how the kids roll up on their bikes.

Mailed the team pictures.

Cleaned the house.

Grace Atlanta Bible Church to Global Mall and Madina

Namaste! Mo and I took the team over to Global Mall to experience the Hindu temple.

Then onto Al Madina for lunch and a lesson in Islam.

We lead the team over to Azalea. Then Mo and I went to mail t-shirts.

I really liked their Bible story and craft today. Each child wrote a sin they’d done on a little paper hand, then they went up to the wooden cross and pushed the sin through the nail.

Home now to edit the video and write thank you letters.

Father’s Day Weekend

Well hello there! Had a great weekend this time around.

Finished the third Game of Thrones book. Looking forward to season 3.

Ran 3.21 miles.

Went shopping at Greene’s for a Father’s day gift. I think you’ll like it, Dad.

Wrote lots of thank you letters to supporters and mailed out Team Pictures.

Took the financial report to Jon Paul’s.

Ash came over and we worked out the plan for our group getaway to Tybee!

Went to eat 6 Feet Under with Jesse, Miles and Mo.

Went to drop Jesse off and my car died on the way home. It was in the best possible spot to die though. PTL!

Triple A saved the day.

Milo took me to Steak and Shake before going to see Now You See Me. Good, long towards the end but a good twist.

Looking forward to the team tomorrow.
