International Pillow Fight Day

I studied Spanish out in the sun today before heading to the staff meeting.

I always like to meet the other writers.

Hilary asks me, “What are you doing in an hour? Want to go pillow fight?”

“Of course I do!”

We stopped by target to buy some feather pillows.

Hilary took the shots.

At least 100 people were at the park venting their feathered down anger.

Interview with the Dean!

Dad and I did some visualization of success before I went in for my interview today. I’m applying for the editor-in-chief and opinion’s editor position. I feel really confident about it.

In ther interview I was giving 5 minutes to present my ideas and then they read scenarios from a script.

“If you were editor-in-chief and you were called by the president of the school saying one of your reporters printed a slanted article about him. What would you do?”

We’ll see if I got it within the week.

Jesse and I climbed the mountain and ate at Uncle Dave’s with Ashley and Lee.

After wards we went to Ashley’s bonfire and made smores.

Ashley

The Great Candy Toss!

Miles and I climbed the mountain this morning before I had to go to school.

In CPR we’re learning about Soft Tissue Injuries. We talked about burns. I could really relate to that with my Dad getting burned.

Met up with Jesse and Dad. We went into Chamblee to help the kids with their homework.

I had a lot of fun working with the girls. Barbara was SO smart! She’s in 1st grade and was reading so well.

She asked me, “What’s another name for brain?”

I started thinking. She put her head in her hands and said,” Oh yeah! Cerebrum! I was thinking with my cerebrum.”

All I was thinking was yeah, faster than me.

Dad did a huge candy toss with the kids. I was right there with them.

Ate Wendy’s with the boys. Dad helped me come up with some ideas for my newspaper interview tomorrow. I’m applying for the editor-in-chief postion so I have to get interviewed by the dean.

Working on some homework.

Ashley

Heather Gets Baptised

Hannah and I drove out to 12 Stone church in Snellville.

We meet up with Heather, Anna and Justin.

The worship was great. They put on a huge light show. It was like being at a concert.

Pastor Miles talked about Choices that lead to Reward and Choices that lead to Regret then they had an open baptism. The Pastor called people forward and Heather went up!

This was her first time ever to be baptised.

AMEN!

Love,

Ashley
