We mee the team at Peachtree Presbyterian Church this morning. Briefed them on Islam and Hinduism. Then on to Al Madina.

It was so beautiful out that we went straight to the missions afterwards. LOVE to see missions in action.

Dad and I briefed the Virginia Tech team on how to prayer walk in stores and approach people. Then onto put it into practice at the Farmer’s Market.

Dad meet up with Derrick Posten to sign some papers since he’s his missionary mentor.

Then onto the BAPs hindu temple.

Stopped at the Hong Kong grocery store. Some interesting meats there… Got to try some Chinese coffee. Tasted a bit like popcorn to me.

Deposited money in the bank.

Today was our last day with the Brookhaven team :(

We had a great time trying spicy salsas at Plaza Fiesta.

They headed home and Dad and I headed to meet with the Virginia Tech team. They’re church was broken in last night BOO so they had to go get some phone chargers and clothes.

They helped us label our reFUND missions.

I posted them.

They explored the Farmer’s Market and then onto the mission.

Signed up Dunwoody BC for their DNOW weekend! Praise the Lord to have lots of labor that weekend.

Hello!

Awesome to have the Virginia Tech team join us today!

Dad and I briefed the team on Islam and Hinduism today before heading off to Al Madina and Global Mall. It’s all about building bridges with our Hindu and Muslim friends. Lunch and then onto Little China Town. I love the serenity garden. 

Missions! The mission kids BEGGED the Brookhaven team to come back this summer. My prayer is that they do!

Picked up the reFUND missions letter from the Atlanta Baptist Metro Association.

HELLO friends!

Enjoyed hosting the Brookhaven Baptist Church team from Mississippi today! We went to the Buford Highway Farmer’s Market first. We had some great conversations with customers there!

Lunch and then phase two of the briefings about how to round up the kids at the missions and about Buddhism before we hit Asian Square.

Missions went great! The team told the Bible story about Jonah and the Whale.

We had a great time with the Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church team today. We enjoyed the farmer’s market and lunch at Plaza Fiesta.

Always something new! Sweet Corn ice-cream? Tasted like cold cream cold.

Worked on an Easter poster for Peachtree Corners Baptist Church. We’re having an Easter Block Party with them on April 4th. Please pray lots of people sign up!

Added some more changes to the Summer Flyer.

Worked on the schedule for the teams this week. It gets a little complicated when we have teams coming in and others leaving the same day.

Picked up the bridesmaid dresses. This is the first wedding I’ve been in!

Enjoyed brunch with Mo. I always like getting her take on spiritual things and how to talk to people.

Came home and worked on administration work. Started with the financial report. Put in donations, wrote out expenses, checked utility payments…drew up a costs lists for our block party this Saturday.

Put some mail out to our partners. Pray that the flyers we sent out will come back with lots of teams!

Met up with Dad and got the supplies for the block party.

Went by to all the managers and told them about the teams coming.

Helped the kids at the missions.

Dinner with the family and acted as a witness while Dad and Mo signed refinancing papers.

Miles and I had such a great time with Dr. David and Ann Baxter from Skidaway Island BC. We enjoyed speaking to their youth and congregation.

Had fun on Saturday touring around Savannah. We went to Oatland Island’s Wildlife center. The wolves were my favorite.

ESL clase with Adita. We started talking about the church she goes to. I asked why she was Christian and wasn’t Catholic like most of my Hispanic friends. She said,” Porque es verdad.” (It’s the Truth.) Loved that.

Had fun meeting with Stephen, Michael and Nathan from 12 Stone! Looking forward to bringing their middle schoolers on missions.

Got into a great conversation with, Julie, a young mother from California. She just got a job at the dental clinic near Plaza Fiesta. Looking forward to seeing her around and praying with her.

Dropped off a package to our top supporters, picked up ink for printing. Then off to missions!

I’m helping the girls learn how to graph algebraic inequalities.

Icy outside this morning at my house. Roads were safe though.

Worked on the utility transfers for our missionaries.

Sent out our newsletter email campaign.

Sent out mail to our partners.

Worked on Payroll for Whirlwind.

Meet with David Tate and Matt Johns to see how they were doing at their missions.

Also meet with Cathy Wilson and Larry Anderson from Youth Outreach United. They’re wanting to start work in the International Village.

Picked up the newsletters, folded them and got them in the mail.

School was cancelled so no tutoring.

We had fun on Saturday at Medieval Times with all the bridesmaids.

Sunday Milo and I picked up the Michigan ladies and took them over to Westside Baptist church. Then we drove them around Stone Mountain. It was so foggy you couldn’t even see it though.

Made phone calls today. Trying to bring in teams!

Picked up Tshirts to send to teams.

Dropped off my car at T&G. Thankfully it just needed an oil change.

Then onto the mission!

Worked on creating a Budget for Whirlwind in 2015.

The expedition’s suspension was out of whack so I picked up Dad and then the ladies.

We went out the Marietta for some Brazilian food and then antiquing for a minute.

Dropped off a package of books at the Post Office.

Put some donations into the Whirlwind account. THANK YOU JESUS!

Visited Enigmas, another weird botanica. Santa Muerta in the back gave me a fright.

On to the mission to work with the kids. Dad told the story about Joseph.

The kids helped us decorate bags of love to pass out in the community.

Candy toss for the kids!

Got supper for J, he’s not feeling well. Dropped Dad off at T&G then home to my husband.

Hello!

Picked up the ladies and meet with Mark Maynard from CrossPointe Church.

We enjoyed Mexican food at Plaza Fiesta. Really looking forward to working with Mark. You can really tell he’s got a heart for missions.

Put a little taste of the world snacks together for him and his crew.

Took the ladies over to the Vietnames grocery store and then the Buddhist temple. Yum! Silk worms!

On to missions!

We had fun playing some new games the ladies got for us.

Told the story of Joseph and his brothers throwing him in the well.

Deposited money into the WWM account. We’re in the black! PRAISE THE LORD!

Mailed letters to supporters.

Cleaned the kitchen!

Meet up with the ladies and Jesse and we all cruised out to the Brick Store in Decatur. Really good fish and chips along with burgers and fries.

Then off to explore the BAPs temple near Lilburn.

Stopped by Sweet Hut for some Korean and Chinese goodies.

After school tutoring with the missions kids! I’ve enjoyed playing Bible Go Fish and Bible Trivia with the kids.

Signed up another team! Praise the LORD! We are finally back in the black by $669!

Hello friends!

Printed out pictures for our teams last week.

Finished the financial report. Worked on getting our taxes squared away. Milo had to print out somethings from his university.

Filled out the church facility request form for our summer teams.

We tried to visit with my ESL student, Adita, today but she wasn’t available. Praying for her during this freezing weather.

We went back to CD Tower to get some gifts and props for class, Vicki is teaching a World’s religions class next month. Then we explored China Town. I liked the big fu dogs and serenity garden.

Meet up with Dad and drove our to FedEx to drop off a package and then enjoyed lunch at Perimeter Mall.

Onto Kitbob, an Islamic bookstore, and then Al Madina.

Global Mall had an interesting Shiva festival going on. The ladies and I had fun looking at the beautiful saris.

Cleaned the mission. No homework since school was canceled because of the ice.

Good to see J!

Deposited money into the Whirlwind account. Still -$200. Sad. :( All the health and liability insurance hit at once along with higher utility bills at the missions. Please pray the Father will send more teams!

Picked up the ladies and meet with Ben Sticker and his team from Brookhaven BC, MS. Briefed them and then took them over to Asian Square.

Then some fun at the Farmer’s Market.

The kids are out of school so no homework. It’s sleeting and really cold out! The Mamas won’t let their kids get out for fear of them getting sick.

Home now, working on phone calls and admin work.

I picked up the ladies from the hotel this morning.

Then we enjoyed Ethiopian food at Al Madina in Clarkston. Ran into Bennett and Mike from NAMB and then Idong! Great to talk with them.

Next we walked around the Hajib stores in Clarkston.

The ladies bought some nice scarves.

Made phone calls and answered emails this morning. Always trying to sign up new teams and invite new people to see what we’ve got going on at Whirlwind Missions!

Miles has been sick, so I cooked him some spaghetti. Then off to the mission.

Taught ESL with Adita and her husband, Wilmer.

Then worked with the kids.

Please pray for our middle schoolers. They act so inappropriate sometimes.

Worked on signing up the Virginia Tech team today.

Then trying to figure out the schedule for the teams coming next week. It gets a bit complicated when we have teams arrive one day and others leaving…

Did finances for Whirlwind, this includes paying bills for partnering missionaries, depositing donations and Quickbooks.

ESL with Adita. I think I’ve learned more Spanish than she’s learned English. Our sweet Perimeter family has been such a huge help. One of the daughters was asking Adita questions. I think Adita felt more confident since she was talking with a young girl.

Mama and I enjoyed teaching Adita today. We even got to see her sister in Guatemala on Skype. We saw close to where she grew up.

Good lunch and then home to work on the financial report, donor list, cut checks, sent mail to partners.

Worked on getting our taxes together.

Talked with Mr. Jeff from FBC Villa Rica!

Also gave Kerry a call about bringing a team from VT.

Meet up with Mom and Dad for lunch. Then Dad and I went to pack the bags for our block parties this Saturday.

Went by the five apartments we’ll be serving at and let the managers know.

Deposited money in the bank for WWM.

Worked on getting the gas turned on at one mission in Marietta.

Good time helping the kids at the mission. We worked on spelling words and algebra.

Walked into our second bedroom and noticed a leak! BOO! Water had been dripping overnight on Milo’s microphones.
