Miles and I had SUCH a great time celebrating with Hannah and Eric. Congratulations to them!

Enjoyed spending time and cleaning Grama Bonnie’s house. She’s got some great stories from traveling around the States.

Mission kids are doing great. Hardly any homework due to CRCT Testing.

Called a supporter friend. Looking forward to our card making party tomorrow.

About to finish ESL for the season.

Hello!

My girlfriends and I enjoyed relaxing in St. Augustine this weekend. Good to be back as Dad’s Mission Co-pilot! I made phone calls with team leaders. Signed up two groups! Walked Moogie and stopped by to see Mama and her refugee babies. Dad and  I worked on setting up locations for this weekend. Then went and checked out the China Town square. Pretty neat. Came home and Miles and I went to get groceries. Looking forward to trail riding with Anna D. tomorrow! Love, As

Strong Rock and Central Baptist Church to Global Mall and Madina

Hello Friends!

IMG_3625-LI had SUCH an amazing conversation with Adit today at Azalea. Jesse and I were sitting at Azalea working on our computers when Adit runs in. He goes straight to the closet and asks, “Where’s the Bibles? I want to read about Isa (Jesus) on the cross.”

We pull on from the shelf and he flips through the pictures until he finds Jesus on the cross. Then we read Matthew together.

“Why did the Jewish people want to kill Jesus?” He asks.

“Because Jesus said he was the Son of God and they thought that was a lie and blasphemy.”

“But it’s TRUE! He is the Son of God.” Adit says earnestly.

“I know! That’s what I believe too. Do you remember what happens after they kill him?”

“They put him in a cave and put guards in front.”

“That’s exactly right. And who was his mama?”

“Mary.”

“Yes, and when she came to see his body was he there?”

“No.”

“Nope. He wasn’t. But this was all part of God’s plan. Jesus had to die to take away our sins. There’s no work we can do to make God love us more or less. Jesus did all the work for us. He loves us SO much.”

“Wow! That’s cool. Do you want to play tic tac toe?”

“Hah. Sure.”

Praise the Lord! Please continue to pray for Adit and his spiritual journey to know Jesus better.

Briefed the team on Islam and Hinduism today. Then explored Al Madina and Global Mall.

Bank of America, Service Project Recon, Missions Managers and Azalea

Hello Friends!

Lynsie and I had a great time supporting our friend Christina as she danced at AboutFace on Friday night.

Dad, J and I met up for lunch to go over the schedule for the service projects with the spring break teams coming into town.  It takes some figuring out to keep 30 middle schoolers busy.

Then we went to Bank of America to inquire about a business credit card. They also might be able to help me turn the business financial books over to QuickBooks!

Went around to the missions to let the managers know the good news about the teams coming!

Worked with the mission kids on their shadow science project.

Created the Lesson Contract flyer for wildoakhorsefarm.com.

Also put a little video together for Anna D.

About to work on answering team emails and putting some Zoo tickets in the mail to Roxy!

Penny and I had a great time teaching today.

We were talking about the words near and far. One of our students kept saying near and fart. That cracked me up.

 IMG_2167

Google Translator has been AMAZING! Our Bengali student wasn’t understanding what Penny was doing as she mimed out spanking a naughty child. I translated it for her and she started cracking up saying, “Naughty child, naughty child” in her Indian accent.

Lunch with the family was great!

Ash and I met up for a dog date. We took the pups to Arabia Mountain for a hike.

Website Work and the Mission

Hello Friends!

I just got back last night from Crestview, Florida. I was the speaker for Emmanuel Baptist Church’s DNow weekend.

They served on the church campus.

I taught them about being sensitive to others prayer requests, then we practiced praying for each other.

I’ve been working on WildOakHorseFarm.com for one of my good friends, Anna Dickson. I’ve really enjoyed riding out at her farm.

Went and got groceries for my family.

Cleaned the house. Got an airfreshner for my car. Milo’s been complaining it smell like a horse. He says it like it’s a bad thing.

Had fun with the kids at the mission.

Dad’s teaching the kids some magic tricks!

Doctor Visit, Host Churches and Rabbit

Hello friends!

Went to the doctor today. I’m healthy as a horse.

Then talked with Jan Kennedy about hosting a card making class with our ESL students in April. Also discussed taking her SS Class on Tour this summer.

Heard back from Christ the King Lutheran church. They’re passing our information along to the senior pastor to see if they have space to host teams this summer.

Same thing with PCBC. They’re running the request up to the executive pastor.

Please be praying for that to all work out. The more space we have, the more teams we can bring in and the more teams we can bring in the more people we can reach.

Published wildoakhorsefarm.com today! It’s still a rough draft but my client is very pleased!

Went to T&G to help Miles get his car. The alternator was dead.

Stayed on this side of town today since I’ll be gone all weekend speaking at a DNow in Florida.

Miles and I are making rabbit for dinner!

Love,

Ash
