Dad’s New Phone!

Bought a Six Flags ticket off Craig’s list for $25! Great deal!

Meet Jesse at the MARTA station. He went down to Georgia Tech for a seminar. Ate lunch with DAd and J then headed up to Perimeter mall to return an adaptor at the Apple Store.

Dad got his new phone! Jesse’s over here right now fixing up Milo’s new phone.

Picked up some ink and stamps for my thank you notes.

Had fun talking to the kids about their new 3D projects; cells.

Mo brought our dog, Shuggie, to the mission. The kids loved her.

Gibbs Gardens and Azalea

Miles and I had a fun time with the families this weekend.

On Saturday we rode up to Gibbs Gardens in North Georgia. BEAUTIFUL!

On Sunday we went shopping for new jeans for J. He found a couple pairs he really liked.

Today I did the grocery shopping.

I was at the checkout when I realized I didn’t have my wallet with me!

Dad was nearby and came to the rescue.

Did laundry.

Not much homework today with the kids.

Taught the kids about greater than and lesser than signs…

Made a lot of phone calls to supporters and wrote thank you cards.

Lunch with Doug Allison, the AZ closet gets a makeover and Flu shots

Hey! We all meet with Doug today at Plaza Fiesta. Had fun exploring and eating.

Dad and I went to FedEx to blow up some pictures for Azalea.

Then we went to get our Flu shots. The pharmacist turned out to be a supporter of ours!

It didn’t really hurt.

The kids helped me color one of the posters.

Then Fabiola and Jocelyn helped me stack books and remake the closet. We moved out a lot of old bins and cleared room. Now the closet is a little office!

Ate a GREAT dinner with the Kendalls at Big Tex. Loved the pumpkin sweet potatoe soup.

Gave Miles a little Fall present.

Looking forward to speaking at Providence Christian Academy tomorrow.

Smokerise, Ben Birdsong and Azalea!

Had fun speaking with the ladies group at Smokerise BC.

Then Mo and I meet Dad, J, Ben and Madison at Global Mall. Great food and the Chai was a nice touch.

This is Ben’s reaction to the “mints.”

Dad got a kurta for a friend’s engagement party.

I liked all the jeweles on the clothing and necklaces.

Hung up the curtains at Azalea and brought in the new lamp. I think the room looks fun and kid friendly.

The kids are testing at school so they don’t have much homework. Today we read about Harriet Beecher Stowe.

Home now for dinner with Jesse and Milo. We’re having Lemon Pepper chicken with rice, corn on the cob and broccoli.

Errands and Justin’s Birthday

Worked on calling the managers at Highland Knoll and Cumberland Courts. I told them the good news about the team coming tomorrow!

Then talked with Katlin Miller from Tennessee about bringing a team for Spring Break.

Sandy DeFoe, our CPA, broke her leg on Saturday. Please be praying for her. We talked today about Quickbooks for Whirlwind Missions.

Went to the Pitty Pat house to look for the old InDesign disk so I can load it on my new computer. Then went to Best Buy to pick up my old one.

Did you know cleaning with a dryer sheet makes your faucets really shiny?

Nothing better than clean sheets.

Got my rings resized, finally!

Mailed the newsletters out, sent Jessica’s birthday box and Milo’s broken laptop.

Today’s Justin’s birthday! I liked the cake Anna baked and decorated.

Lee got a new car. A 2001, red Ford Mustang just like me! Mustang club!

Looking forward to the team tomorrow at Highland Knoll.

New MacBook Air!

WOOO HOO! My six year old macbook died last night. I hope I can recover all the InDesign maps I’ve created over the years. :( BUT I got a brand new MacBook Air this afternoon!

It’s a beauty. I’ve only had it out of the box for an hour now and I really love the user interface, the backlit keyboard, just the whole thing in general.

Worked with the fifth graders.

I love the village feeling at Azalea.

Ate dinner with the family.

Then picked up the newsletters.

After a year of planning, building and filling, Justin’s tank is finally finished!

Anna did a chemical peel on me. Not too painful and she’s right, I really can see results right away!

Then we ironed on a picture of Chi Chi for her mom’s birthday.

Jesse and I went and saw Dreed tonight. It was bloody yet beautiful. I highly recommend watching it in 3D.

Drew a new picture on the chalk board! I’m reading Plague Dogs and this reminds me of Snitter.

Groceries, A clean Car and Azalea!

Ran up and down Stone Mountain. I felt like a beast! This weather is SO amazing. Cool with clear blue skies. I LOVE Fall.

Came home and washed my pony.

Got groceries.

Hung out with the kids. They kept asking me what my job was and I said, “This. Helping you guys here is my job.”
To which their response was, “You get PAID to do this?”

“Yep, plus I just really  helping all you guys.”

“So what’s your real, real  job? What do you do in the mornings?” Fabiola asked.

“I’m a missionary. I tell people about Jesus.”

“Ohh. I wish you were a my teacher at my school, but I’m glad you’re a missionary who comes to teach at the mission.”

I love those kids!

Her hair getting blown by the fan cracks me up!

Third Generation Letters and the Mission!

Created lots of third generation packets to send to supporters.

Sent out invitations to invite supporters over to dinner at the cottage.

Cute kids working outside on the stairs.

I took a lot of notes.

Talked with Steve Sanders at Sharon BC and set up a time to go and speak in Novemeber.
Started watching Citizen Kane. Looking forward to finishing it.
