Groceries, Website Work and Azalea

Hello!

I worked some more on Dr. Pat’s forgodsglory.net and Team Whirlwind’s Website.

Got groceries. Tonight Miles and I are having steak and squash kabobs.

Got gas. $.10 off at Kroger! Yeah!

Rained really hard.

The kids were GREAT today. They were really loud the other day so I tried some new tactics. I worked with one kid at a time and if they started to get too loud I whispered and they kids would quiet down so they could hear.

Angel gave me an apple. I’m a real teacher now!

Ethiopian, Newsletters, Team Whirlwind and the Mission

Hello!

Walked over to John’s to give him our rent for March.

Dad and I had a good time enjoying Ethiopian with Tim and Mark from Briarcliff Baptist Church.

Then we folded newsletters that I picked up this morning from Atlanta Baptist Metro.

I worked on the Team Whirlwind website while Dad put the letters in the mail. I’ve gotten the logo uploaded, the Tag line inserted, and created the About page, Blog page, Newsletter page and contacts. Take a look at our progress… teamwhirlwind.com. Dad put Einstein and Da Vinci on the sides to help motivate me. The robots for technical support.

Dad helped edit the text.

Great to have Miles at the mission! The kids love him.

Story time went really well today. Jesse played Esau and Angel played Jacob.

Junior didn’t want Jesse to go.

Looking forward to helping Dr. Pat put her website together tomorrow morning.

Horsing Around and the Mission

Mailed the group picture and thank you letter to the Oakwood BC team that was here this weekend.

I had time before my riding lesson today so I drove over to see Mama at her Mommy and Me class. As soon as I walked in one of the leaders was asking if anyone knew Kathy’s number. I said, ” I do, I’m her daughter.”

The lady told me that we need to get Hussain from the library because his mom was leaving early to go to the doctors. I asked the mother if she’d like to ride with me to the library and pick up her son. Of course she said yes and we drove over to pick up her son. Such perfect timing!

Had a great time at the ranch today with Marlene. I got to ride Phantom. He’s her show pony. Boy, was he stubborn! But such a cuddle monkey at the end.

Watch the Video!

Worked with Sakib on his Mayan Timeline.

Angel trying to be quiet.

Had a lot of fifth graders today.

At the end Luiz was looking for his folder. I asked,” Is it the maroon colored one?”

“No, it’s the purple- red one.” He told me.

Here’s one of the moms and I.

Phone Calls and the Mission

Had fun with the family today. We had a good lunch then went home to discuss the new website themes. We’re thinking of going with something like this.

The kids were sweet today.

My fifth graders said they missed me. Dad came in and asked if they were happy to have their regular teacher back. They all screamed yes! Then Angel said, ” You’re the principal, Mr. Tim.” I liked that.

Worked with the kids on fractions.

Made some phone calls to Rehobeth BC, Briarcliff BC and North Peachtree BC to get some updated information for our website.

A touching moment.

Smelled like cat…

Off to the mission to help the kids with their homework.

The kids were asking, “Is tomorrow the story day?!”

I told them, “Yeah! I’m going to be talking about Adam and Eve.”

Horse Back Riding!

Hey there!

I had a great day at the barn today. I rode Tanner a 24 year old horse. Marlene was a great teacher. Here she is jumping competition last year.

Emailed 52  pastors, deacons and church staff inviting them to come to the International Village. I’ve already had one response!

The kids were great today. They’ve gone from hating fractions to fighting over who gets to solve the next one all because of the white board. They love going to the front of the class and solving the problems.

Sweet little Dulce!

I gave out some Ten Commandment cards and the boys went crazy for them. They asked if they could take a bunch to class.

Great to have Amy there!

Working on admin.

Newsletters, Art and Staples

Hello my friends!

Thank you SO much to all of you who have been praying for my family. I’ve really appreciated the encouraging words.

Miles and I tried to get his iPhone replaced today. Unfortunately, it’s a hardware issue and he’ll have to get a new one for $200.

Got envelopes at Staples today and labeled the last of our newsletters.

I put a little urgent prayer request for Jesse in each.

Got them all off to the post office.

I’ve really been enjoying painting and working with my hands lately.

\This is my lupes sauvages y libres or Wild and Free Wolves.

This sketch is of my dog, Shuggie and Milo’s dog, Ace.

Here Ace and Shug are stargazing.

I pushed tiny little Christmas lights through the canvas to create the stars.

I liked the Christmas lights so much I twisted some up in the tulle kitchen curtain I have.

Miles and I found  hole in the wall  place tonight. The jerk chicken with rice and peas was a smokey flavor of delight.

Also created the new 2013 Newsletter binder. Nice to get everything in order again for the new year.

Love,

Ash
